Inflammation is a response of the immune system to infection and tissue injury. Although it is a protective and healing process, inflammation may cause more damage than the inciting events if its magnitude and duration are not finely controlled. An excessive and unrestrained inflammatory response underlies diverse forms of chronic inflammatory diseases such as cancer, diabetes, and cardio/neuro vascular disease. We aim to understand the pathophysiological roles of diverse signaling pathways in inflammation associated diseases.
